Experience of Alessia Di Crisci in the youth exchange Hackers of Life (HoL) that took place in Lorca, Murcia from the 20th to the 26th of August 2019
Hello to everybody!
My name is Alessia Di Crisci and I am nineteen years old. I am an Italian girl and during this summer I participated to the Youth Exchange “Hackers of Life” in Spain. The project lasted one week and it was addressed to people from five countries: Italy, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Spain.
The aim of the project was to make aware participants about the risks on the internet and how to prevent them: we talked about the Dark Web, the importance of the antivirus and about the Cybersecurity in general. To make the activities more interesting and enjoyable, we used informal learning methods such as interviews to local people, group oral presentation on specific topics and the EDITING of short videos. Finally, thanks to some professional photographers participants, the whole project was reported by photos and videos.
For me the best part of this experience was having interactions with people of different nationalities because this helped me to practice and improve my English. Then during the intercultural nights, each nationality presented the traditions and the local food of its country, so I discovered new cultures and different lifestyles from mine.
A special thought goes to the organizers – Pedro José Padilla and Maximilian Horstmann – who have allowed us to live this wonderful experience and who have always shown themselves understandable.
Are you ready to travel with Erasmus? What are still doing here? The world is waiting for you!
Greetings from Italy,
Alessia Di Crisci J
