Experience of Andrei Liviu Popescu in the youth exchange Hackers of Life (HoL) that took place in Lorca, Murcia from the 20th to the 26th of August 2019.
Hello! My name is Andrei-Liviu Popescu and this summer I had the opportunity to take part in the Youth Exchange program: “Hackers of life” in Lorca, Spain.
For me, being one of the participants in this project was a great experience, I made many friends and I got to know many cultural differences between our nations. This was my first contact with an Erasmus project and I can say that it helped me discover myself as an individual and change my perspective about life. When I got back home I felt like a new, wiser person willing to go again in another project.
During the week I spent in Lorca I was presented a new video-editing program called Filmora which I found quite easy to learn and to master on. This was not my first time editing, I am quite good in Sony Vegas Pro, but till then I haven’t got the reason to try something new. :)) The people there were very kind helping me find functions in Filmora and during the time in Lorca I learned some new tricks that I could not do in Vegas.
Every night, each country had to organize intercultural nights and to present the others the beauty of their country. This was an amazing experience, not only as a participant, but also as a host. Representing my own country being an awesome experience which led me to love my country even more. Meanwhile, I got to discover some very interesting facts about other’s countries and in top of that to get a taste of their food specialties. Furthermore, I mastered some Bulgarian dance moves, which I think is pretty dope. 😛 We all had a great time and I think everyone will remember these nights.
As far as I can tell, taking part in a project like this is an extraordinary experience and every person should try at least once.
