Experience of Konstantinos Vlachakis in the youth exchange Hackers of Life (HoL) that took place in Lorca, Murcia from the 20th to the 26th of August 2019
And just like this begins my first Erasmus+ experience. At the small town of Lorca in South of Spain. Spending 7 incredible days with 30 more people from Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania and Greece meant to mark my life forever. Participating everyday in intercultural activities as well as cooperating in assignments relative to cyber security never let my interest go away, not even a single moment. I remember very clear that we had an activity where we had to pass through a web of rope while trying not to touch the rope and neither pass from the same hole. The whole team immediately cooperated so well even though that we did not really know each other. That was the first step for our group to come together. One of my favorite moments also was the day when our facilitators, Pedro and Max, brought us 2 local hackers. Those men demonstrated some tricks only to show us that we are not safe in the internet. No matter how much you know about how internet works there will always be someone better from you that can hack you in an instant. So the lesson I got that day was to be more careful with the passwords I use for my accounts and never share viable information to strangers. To be completely sincere, the days
passed so fast that I lost the sense of time. I made some new friendships, I practised my spanish
and italian, learnt basic frases in Bulgarian and Romanian and I saw some unsual parts of Spain.
So if you would ask me why would I bother applying for Erasmus+ project I would reply to you
in a blink of eye that life is too short to skip that beautiful part.
